| pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The text examines the role of mathematics in architecture, questioning whether formulas and numerical structures can truly ground architectural meaning. It explores the tension between certainty and uncertainty, rationality and subjectivity, emphasizing how perception, phenomenology, and aesthetics shape our understanding of built forms. Drawing on Husserl, Merleau-Ponty, Leibniz, and Hellenistic traditions, the author argues that architecture emerges from the interplay between objective rules and sensory experience. Meaning, therefore, does not lie solely in mathematical formulations but in the dynamic relationship between art, science, and human perception. | en_EN |
