Within of this research of this master's thesis, which size the theme “Regenerating the interior of the block” in historic centers, spaces that are often outdated and uncharacterized, we intend to understand to what extent the intervention within the blocks in the area of the “Historic Center of Braga” delimited by (ARU), combined with the positions of the “Creative City” concept, contributes to the progressive appreciation and resolution of the problem of forwent and manipulation of these spaces, as well as encouraging the continuous evolution of the economy and of social inclusion in Braga. Making these spaces more interesting and dynamic, aims to highlight these spaces as notable points in the visitor's passage through the Historic Center of Braga, in order to promote attractive experiences, while respecting local identity and heritage aspect This work serves as a guiding model to explore successful national examples, in Braga and Vila Nova de Gaia, which address premises such as class, economy and creative industry in the morphological and conceptual intervention of the block, in order to understand in what dimension the concept of a creative city ally with the premises defined by (CERPUB) and (PERU) are capable of contributing to the strategy in the evolution and economic and cultural dynamization of the Historic Center of Braga. Finally, as a reflection of this entire investigation, which adopts creativity and culture as the structuring driver of a creative city, the intervention project (POW - Braga) is presented as a model for resolving the problem in the chosen study case, the eastern block of Largo das Carvalheiras, on the Historic Center of Braga.
