A reabilitação do património : a Casa do Castelo, em Vizela

Abstract

O Património de um povo é o reflexo da sua identidade, e como portador de mensagens do passado é uma inspiração para as gerações futuras, é o testemunho vivo e atual do desenvolvimento histórico de uma cidade e consequentemente de um País. Atendendo à Carta de Veneza (1964) “(…) A humanidade tem vindo progressivamente a tomar maior consciência da unidade dos valores e a considerar os monumentos antigos como uma herança comum, assumindo coletivamente a responsabilidade da sua salvaguarda para as gerações futuras e aspirando a transmiti-los com toda a sua riqueza e autenticidade.” O objetivo da investigação pretende ser um contributo para definir o conceito de Património e a importância de uma metodologia na sua salvaguarda. Consequentemente, entender melhor quais os valores que devem existir para que este o seja, e quais as ações mais adequadas para que o Património não perca a sua autenticidade, das quais iremos aprofundar a reabilitação que é a mais utilizada e se adequa ao Património de acompanhamento. Intervir no património é uma tarefa que exige grande compreensão do objeto de estudo, da sua envolvente e ainda de todas as intervenções possíveis. Assim, através do presente documento apresentamos um estudo que compreende a prática de intervir no património, neste caso a Casa do Castelo localizada em Vizela. Trata-se de um edifício com características neogóticas que terá sido construído em finais do século XIX. Após um percurso temporal até então, encontra-se agora devoluto. É então, suportados neste estudo que apresentamos uma metodologia, para nos orientar, de modo a ser mais fácil de observar quais os valores existentes e as ações que se adequam, neste caso a reabilitação.

The patrimony of a people is a reflection of their identity, and as a bearer of messages of the past is an inspiration for future generations, it is the living and present testimony of the historical development of a city and consequently of a Country. In view of the Charter of Venice (1964) "(...) Humanity has progressively become more aware of the unity of values and considers ancient monuments as a common heritage, collectively assuming the responsibility of its safeguard for future generations and aspiring to transmit them with all their richness and authenticity. " The objective of the research is to contribute to define the concept of Heritage and the importance of a methodology in its safeguard. Consequently, to better understand what values should exist for this to be, and what are the most appropriate actions so that the Heritage does not lose its authenticity, from which we will deepen the rehabilitation that is the most used and suits the Monitoring Heritage. Intervening in heritage is a task that requires a great understanding of the object of study, of its surroundings and of all possible interventions. Thus, through this document we present a study that includes the practice of intervening in the heritage, in this case the Casa do Castelo located in Vizela. It is a building with neogothic characteristics that would have been built at the end of the 19th century. After a time course until then, it is now vacant. It is then, supported in this study that we present a methodology, to guide us, so as to be easier to observe which values exist and the actions that fit, in this case rehabilitation.
