A experiência multissensorial na relação do corpo e o espaço : a reabilitação do Cineteatro Narciso Ferreira em Riba d´Ave

Abstract

A presente dissertação de mestrado integrado em Arquitectura, tem como teman de investigação a experiência do corpo e o espaço construído e a sua interacção, com a intenção de desenvolver arquitectura em pré-existências capaz de gerar sentimentos e sensações. Dito isto, não pretendemos a ousadia do expor uma resposta como infalível e irrefutável, dado que se trata de um tema abrangente que converge diferentes áreas de estudo e que por isso tornou necessário a delimitação da mesmas. O presente trabalho surge como uma hipótesse de resposta à pergunta que enunciamos: Como provocar uma experiência num espaço pré-existente?, sendo que essa tentativa resulta de uma reflexão pessoal, na medida em que tem como base o corpo ,o nosso processo cognitivo e o espaço pré-existente. A premissa de desenvolvimento do discurso parte da relação que se desenvolve entre ambos, numa relação que entendemos como emotiva, explorando a experiência directa das coisas, reconhecendo a arquitectura não como uma realidade rígida mas sim pela experiência vivida, directa, ou seja, o que o nosso corpo responde e apreende, antes do racíocinio. Como áreas de apoio a estas reflexões, apoiamo-nos numa perspectiva interdisciplinar, nomeadamente, na Filosofia, na Pintura, na Literatura, na Música e, nas Artes Plásticas. Neste seguimento, procura-se então compreender como desenvolver e gerar espaços e cenários de vivências por parte do arquitecto, que sejam capazes de gerar emoções e sensações, reencontrando ao mesmo tempo uma relação justa com o passado aquando o intervir no Património construído, numa pré-existência. O confronto desta investigação tem como objecto de intervenção o Cineteatro Narciso Ferreira em Riba D´Ave, que através da análise suscita questões e agarrar premissas reflexivas e imaginativas, propondo respostas que considerámos capazes de gerar ambientes e atmosferas que estimulem sensações.

The present master’s thesis integrated in Architecture, has as its research theme the experience of the body and the built space and its interaction, with the intention of developing architecture in pre-existences capable of generating feelings and sensations. Having said that, we do not want the boldness of exposing a response as infallible and irrefutable, given that it is a comprehensive subject that converges different areas of study and that therefore made it necessary to delimit them. The present work appears as a hypothesis of answer to the question that we enunciate: How to provoke an experience in a pre-existing space?, being that this attempt results from a personal reflection, as it is based on the body, the cognitive process, and the pre existent space. The basis for the development of the discourse is based on the relationship between the two, in a relationship that we understand as emotive, exploring the direct experience of things, recognizing architecture not as an rigid reality but rather as a result of lived experience, that is, what our bodies respond and seize, before the reasoning. As areas of support for these reflections, we rely on an interdisciplinary perspective, namely in Philosophy, Painting, Literature, Music and Plastic Arts. In this sequence, it is sought to understand how to develop, create spaces and scenarios of experiences from the architect, who are capable of generating emotions and sensations, while at the same time finding a fair relation with the past when intervening in the built Heritage, in pre-existences. The confrontation of this investigation is the intervention of Cineteatro Narciso Ferreira in Riba D’Ave, who, through the analysis, raises questions and grasp reflexive and imaginative premises, proposing answers that we consider capable of generating environments and atmospheres that stimulate sensations.
