Requalificação do Património Industrial como dinamizador do sistema urbano : Fábrica de Fiação e Tecidos Sá

Abstract

Resumo: Nesta dissertação pretende-se explorar a temática da requalificação do património industrial como elemento dinamizador do sistema urbano. Questões atuais que poderão influenciar na vida útil de um edifício de carácter patrimonial, e a forma como o mesmo é intervencionado, pois poderá levar ao seu abandono. Neste sentido, são tratados temas, como o impacto que um edifício industrial abandonado têm, no território. Apesar de existiram edifícios degradados e abandonados, no interior da cidade, continua a prevalecer um consumo do território, refletindo-se no crescimento descontrolado do mesmo. Torna-se cada vez mais necessário a reutilização dos edifícios, e a forma como se pode intervencionar o património industrial, de modo a dinamizar o sistema urbano em que está inserido. Para isso, recorreu-se a autores como Françoise Choay, Josep Maria Montaner, Kevin Lynch, Jane Jacobs e Ignási de Solá-Morales. Com a requalificação de um edifício industrial abandonado, pertencente ao Património, incentiva-se a valorização cultural, como o próprio território, influenciando a forma como é vivido. Pois, normalmente este tipo de edificado têm impacto, tanto pelo local onde por vezes estão inseridos, como as próprias dimensões que possuem, que facilitam a sua adequação a novos usos.

Abstract: This dissertation intends to explore the theme of the reclassification of industrial heritage as a dynamizing element of the urban system. Current issues that may influence the useful life of a heritage building, and the way it is intervened, as it may lead to its abandonment. In this sense, issues such as the impact that an abandoned industrial building has on the territory are addressed. Although there were degraded and abandoned buildings inside the city, consumption of the territory continues to prevail, reflecting the uncontrolled growth of the same. It is becoming increasingly necessary to re-use buildings and the way in which industrial heritage can be used in order to appreciate and dynamize the urban system in which it is built. For this, were used, authors like Françoise Choay, Josep Maria Montaner, Kevin Lynch, Jane Jacobs and Ignási de Solá-Morales. With the requalification of an abandoned industrial building, belonging to the Patrimony, it is encouraged the cultural valorization, like the own territory, influencing the way it is lived. For normally, this type of building has an impact, both by the place where they are sometimes inserted, and the very dimensions they have, which facilitate their adaptation to new uses.
