Projectar a memória : reabilitação do Mosteiro de S. Miguel de Bustelo : recuperação do Mosteiro

Abstract

Resumo: Focando sobre o objetivo da reabilitação e salvaguarda do Património Arquitetónico, procura-se de trazer a memória e a identidade ao lugar. Na presente dissertação vai em busca de compreender através da arquitetura, como um instrumento de intervenção e meio de segurança real da salvaguarda da memória de uma comunidade, do qual importa preservar. Ao longo dos tempos depara-se numa constante apropriação dos espaços, uma característica natural da evolução Humana e tecnológica sobre o território. Pois a questão é, quando estes espaços se tornam esquecidos no tempo em degradação permanente, envelhecido na sua função, mantendo o edificado desadequado e expectante. Então este património, apresenta um caráter pertinente para esta investigação. A matéria desenvolve-se num caso de estudo, onde se procura entender o património e como devolver as memórias de uma identidade a um determinado povo, percebendo a sua importância de realizar estratégias para intervir e trazer de volta um edifício que pertence ao povo. Com um suporte histórico para perceber quais as etapas do estudo da reabilitação arquitetónica passaram, os modelos teóricos e as experiencias que se pode destacar da realidade geográfica, se manifestamente próxima do desafio que se enfrenta, no lugar da aldeia de Bustelo, cidade de Penafiel a norte de Portugal. Concluindo com um contexto histórico e geográfico do lugar, e uma proposta de reabilitação com o intuito de valorização e salvaguarda que corresponde à autenticidade, sendo esta uma ação que defenderá honestidade das comunidades onde se insere.

Abstract: Focusing on the aim of rehabilitation and safeguarding of the Architectural Heritage, and in the search for bringing memory and identity to the place, the current dissertation searches to comprehend the architecture as an intervention tool and a real safety mean to keep the memory of a community, which should not be lost. Throughout the times, we are faced with constant appropriation of spaces, a natural feature of the human and technological evolution over the territory. The matter is those spaces are forgotten in time in a permanent degradation, aged in its function, keeping the built heritage inappropriate and expectant. Then, this patrimony, presents a relevant character for this research. The issue developpes itself on a case study, in which we aim to understand the heritage and how to give back the memories of an identity from a certain nation, realizing its importance and defining strategies to intervene and bring back a building which belongs to the people. With a historical support to understand which steps from architectural rehabilitation study have already passed, the theoretical models and tests that can be highlighted from the geographic reality of the challenge faced, situated in the village of Bustelo in Penafiel northern Portugal. To conclude, with a historical and geographic context of the place, and a rehabilitation proposal with the aim of enhancement and safeguarding which corresponds to the authenticity, being an action that will defend the integrity of local communities where it operates.
