Murtosa : variações tipológicas

Abstract

Este trabalho procura apresentar e por sua vez defender, a noção de casa típica de um local em Portugal, enquanto obra de carácter singular, numa vasta amplitude de exemplos. Visto que para nós, o conceito de casa, é algo presente e reconhecível, enquanto lar e abrigo, a sua variação tipológica pode ser defendida como algo inesgotável, devido às diferenças projectuais existentes de casa para casa, ou então como sendo limitada, pois consegue encerrar sempre os mesmos espaços, como uma cozinha, uma sala, um quarto ou um quarto de banho. Apesar disso, é possível inserir cada edifício numa família de objectos, normalmente definida por uma solução formal e/ou dimensão cronológica a que lhe surge associada, rejeitando-se a noção de que todas as casas, incluindo as portuguesas, são completamente distintas. Para estudar este tema, é então fundamental perceber a sua abrangência histórico-social no panorama arquitectónico português. Pretende-se estabelecer uma contextualização sumária da arquitectura e da casa portuguesa na século XIX, como forma de defender a existência de uma casa típica. Existe também a necessidade de uma contextualização conceptual, procurando clarificar um pouco do campo teórico ou o "estado da arte" em torno deste trabalho, definindo a noção de tipo. Tendo em conta o estudo efectuado para fundamentar os aspectos teóricos/conceptuais e os aspectos históricos, a tipologia em estudo, e as suas mutações permitem compreender a génese dessa tipicidade, formalizando o contentor exterior do edifício e/ou na sua espacialidade interior, percebendo as implicações que essas traduzem na forma em como estas casas são habitadas.

This work seek to show, and by his turn defend, the sense of typical house, of a place in Portugal, as work of singular character, in a large number of examples. For us, the concept of house, is something that is recognizable and present, while home and shelter, this typological variation can be defended as something inexhaustible, due to the project differences, between cases, or as being limited, because it gets always the same spaces, as a kitchen, a room, or a bath room. In spite of that, it is possible to insert each building in a objects family, usually defined for a formal solution, and/or chronological dimension, the one that appears to it, associated, being rejected the notion, that all the houses, including, Portuguese ones, are completely different. To study this theme, it is fundamental to notice historical-social inclusion in the Portuguese architectural history. This intends to establish a brief time line of the architecture, and the called "Portuguese house" in the XIX century, defending the existence of a typical house. There is also the need of a conceptual environment, trying to clarify a little of the theoretical field of the "arts state", in what the work takes place, defining the type notion. Answering the study, to the base theoretical / conceptual, and historical aspects, the typology, and their mutations, allows understanding the essential of that typical instrument, formalizing the external container of the building and / or in its interior space, noticing the implications that those translate in the form, as these houses are inhabited.
