Reabilitar sem excluir: intervenção no centro histórico de Aveiro

Abstract

Face ao significativo abandono dos centros históricos causada por processos como a gentrificação, emerge a necessidade de ‘parar’ esta problemática, preservando a identidade física mas também a social, contribuindo para a diminuição da exclusão social que ocorre nestes locais. Assim, estudamos as influências que estão na base das políticas de intervenção portuguesas, e o modo como se refletiram a nível urbano, compreendendo o que levava à desertificação dos centros históricos. Recorrendo a programas de intervenção que surgem como resposta a esses problemas, C.R.U.A.R.B., SRU e GTL’s, aprofundando um pouco mais o trabalho do GTL de Guimarães, analisam-se as estratégias de intervenção com o intuito de assimilar as várias metodologias usadas na resposta à exclusão social e na preservação das identidades enraizadas dos centros históricos, realizando no segundo capitulo, um ensaio projetual que aplicado à cidade de Aveiro visa respeitar e preservar toda a identidade intrínseca do local, adaptando as estruturas com as exigências e necessidades que emergem com a contemporaneidade, através de uma reabilitação onde o morador está no centro de todo o processo, contribuindo para o seu bem-estar.
