África, arquitectura de emergência : Bambu-Slum - entre económico, o ambiental e o social

Abstract

A arquitectura é uma das muitas forma de expressão artística do Homem. Como qualquer outro tipo de arte, esta, ao longo da história da humanidade, sofreu inúmeras transformações, relacionadas com a forma, o método construtivo e os materiais. Este é um facto, genericamente sabido. Porém, o curioso desta evolução, está precisamente, no significado do espaço arquitectónico, perante as necessidades do Homem e do meio ambiente, daí que, hoje, registam-se inúmeras formas arquitectónicas no mundo. Contudo, torna-se necessário, num primeiro momento da investigação, compreender, antes de mais, a causa para os vários registos arquitectónicos, ou seja, perceber de que forma o avanço científico-tecnológico e, por conseguinte, as actuais alterações climáticas contribuíram para o crescimento destas inúmeras práticas, em específico, das precárias arquitecturas que vem construídas ao longo dos anos, nos países subdesenvolvidos. O presente ensaio, foca-se, essencialmente, nas questões sociais visíveis nos países subdesenvolvidos, África Subsaariana, em específico. Deste modo, considerando as problemáticas ambientais e dificuldades políticas, económicas e sociais em que se insere a população em análise, e ainda, tendo em conta, o projecto elaborado ao longo da investigação; podemos criar um elo de ligação entre as técnicas e os materiais económicos e sustentáveis, e mantendo o mesmo tipo de arquitectura, local e tradicional.

Architecture is one of the many artistic forms of Men to communicate. Like any other type of art, architecture, during the history of human kind, suffered many transformations, related to form, method and materials. Generically speaking, it’s a fact that architecture it’s an art in constant tansformation. However, it’s important to refer that the progress of architecture during the history, it’s based in the needs of human kind; therefore, it’s possible to identify several architectural forms around the world. Homever it’s necessary to understand, the main cause for all architectural forms produced in the world, and most importantly, understand the main cause for the local architecture built in the world, but most of all, built in the Third World communities. That so, knowing the actual world situation, related to the environmental imbalance and economics, the main object of this investigation is to create a connection between two aspects, sustainable and economic techniques and materials, and also, with this two architectural aspects, it’s important maintain the local and tradicional architecture built over the last years. Concluding, during the research, it seemed importante, to understand how can we reverse the current situation in these countries, and therefore, provide them a better way of life.
