A percepção sensorial e o espaço terapêutico : o centro terapêutico em Aveiro

Abstract

Estudamos a influência que o espaço arquitetónico construído exerce sobre a mente do ser humano, bem como os comportamentos e experiências espaciais são influenciados pela perceção do ambiente vivenciado. Através do estudo de todos os recetores do aparelho sensitivo humano, tentamos perceber a forma como elementos do espaço, particularmente a Luz, a Cor, a Textura, a Forma e os Materiais, interferem numa resposta cerebral que levará a um comportamento. Percebendo que estes elementos possuem características estimulantes para o aparelho percetivo humano, compreendemos que a sua manipulação resultará em consequências para os utilizadores, o ato de projetar irá determinar a vivência do ser humano naquele espaço, seja ela positiva ou negativa. Se o arquiteto compreender estes elementos, os seus significados, atributos e benefícios, a vivência torna-se claramente positiva, pois a forma como o arquiteto vê a obra não é igual à forma como o utilizador a perceciona. A importância desta pesquisa é perceber o Espaço de Terapêutico, procurar um Novo Conceito deste espaço e aplicar os elementos estudados para que a vida dos utilizadores seja significativamente melhorada e que a arquitetura tenha um papel ativo na sua regeneração.

This study is on the influence that built architectural space exerts over the minds of human beings, as well as, on how human behavior and spatial experiences are influenced by the perception of the environment experienced. Through the study of all recipients of the human senses, we try to understand how elements of space, particularly light, odor, texlure, shape and materials interfere in the brains response that will consequently lead to a certain behavior. Realizing that those elements have stimutating characteristics on the human perceptive apparatus, we understand that your actions will result in consequences for users. The act of archilectural design will determine the experience of the human being in that space, whether positive or negative. If the architect understand these elements, their meanings, attributes and benefits, the experience becames clearly positive, because how the architect visualizes his work is different from the way the user’s perception of it. The importance of this research is to better understand the Therapeutic Space, seek a New Concept for this space and apply the elements studied so that the life of users is significantly improved and that the architecture has an active role in their recovering.
