Abstract: No encontro entre o céu e o oceano, a linha do horizonte, representa fisicamente o lugar inalcançável do imaginário humano.
The intersection of the sky and the ocean, the horizon, physically represents an unreachable place the human imagination. It expresses the subconscious longing for the void, the end, and the nothingness. As an imaginary place, it represents man's relentless porsuit for himself and the unknown; on the other hand, it confirms the certainty expressed by the land, of Being as a physical belonging in the world. Within the Horizon, a middle line between the known and the unknown, the limit of the eye is set, as are the forms that are recognizable; it is a dual territory belonging to everyone and no one, to earth and the horizon; an intermediate element between reality and the poetic imaginary. In this dissertation, we developed a reflection based on the relationship between Man, Architecture and Territory, considering for the purpose a specific practical case study, the Municipality of Caminha and place of Insua. We approach the interdisciplinary dialogue considered by architecture, that relates the Man, the architectural object, and territory, letting us substantiate a significant architectural totality, an existential space, that grants the human being a peaceful and protected place, appreciating the experience and value of the place, as a totality which gives form and sense to its physical and mental dimensions . We propose an architectural form, responding to all circumstances that determined its singularity, allowing us to explore the diverse dimensions linked to disciplinary practice. We also comprehended the types of practices of intervention on patrimony, which reach the consensus between the architectural forms of the past and the contemporary architectural expressions. Supported on the formal and conceptual options that gave architectural form to the developed project, we conducted an investigation that considered the interdisciplinary between architecture and sculpture. Our main goal in this analytical investigation was to understand the formal, conceptual, spatial, artistic and language principles, allowing us to affirm the existence of architectural and sculptural that lie at the limit, and establishing an ambiguity of recognizable values in both disciplinary practices - architecture and sculpture.
