As áreas verdes e a re(configuração) dos centros urbanos

Abstract

O presente documento centra-se no estudo da estrutura verde urbana como elemento que pode regenerar e transformar os centros urbanos de maneira a que estes sejam pólos geradores de interacção quer a nível social, ambiental, cultural, económico entre a população. Após uma pesquisa e análise teórica de alguns autores, foi estudado o conceito de Estrutura Verde incluindo as suas funções e diversas características procurando através destes regenerar espaços na cidade de maneira a promover vivências e apropriação do espaço por parte da população, e observar os factores que promovem a coesão e resiliência dos mesmos contribuindo assim para uma vida urbana mais saudável. Perante este contexto concluímos que a estrutura verde urbana faz parte da composição da cidade e nela estão implícitas diversas funções e características que constroem uma cidade mais vivida e atractiva proporcionando áreas de estar, de cultivo de lazer que geram dinâmicas sociais, ambientais, económicas, entre outras, conceitos estes muito abordados pelo autor Leonel Fadigas e Manuela Raposo Magalhães. Para isto analisamos diferentes perspectivas e diferentes autores que nos permitiram de forma cuidada abordar e dissertar sobre o tema, e perceber que a estrutura verde urbana tem um forte potencial para regenerar espaços descaracterizados e degradados, sendo um elemento fundamental na composição da cidade.

This paper focuses on the study of urban green structure as an element that can regenerate and transform the urban centers so that they are poles interaction generators either social, environmental, cultural, economic among the population. After a theoretical research and analysis of some authors, the Green Structure concept including its features and several features looking through these regenerate spaces in the city in order to promote experiences and appropriation of space by the population studied, and observe the factors promote cohesion and resilience of the same contributing to a healthier urban life. Against this background we conclude that urban green structure is part of the city’s composition and it is implied various functions and features that build a more experienced city attractive and providing seating areas, recreational culture that generate social, environmental, economic dynamics, among others, these very concepts addressed by the author Leonel Fadigas and Manuela Raposo Magalhães. For this we analyze different perspectives and different authors that allowed the careful way to approach and lecture us on the subject, and realize that urban green structure has a strong potential to regenerate uncharacterized and degraded spaces, being a key element in the composition of the city.
