Estudo de caso de deficiência visual

Abstract

O estudo é importante porque existe pouca informação e investigação ao nível desta temática. Além disto, pretende-se reforçar que a criatividade e atenção disponibilizadas, quando dispostas de um modo mais presistente e dedicado sobre uma temática, produzem uma maior eficácia. O objetivo deste estudo foi ensinar uma criança cega a aprender a literacia braille. A metodologia escolhida foi o estudo de caso. Foram utilizados materiais educativos recorrentes da temática, como o boneco Braillín, as tábuas com os pontos de braille e a máquina de braille Perkins. Também foi apresentado e utilizado material elaborado com o intuito de melhorar o desenvolvimento da criança na literacia braille, como uma tábua, com seis células braille. Em futuros estudos é de ter em conta, o tempo de dedicação e a personalidade da criança a estudar.

Abstract: This study bears its importance in the lack of information and research regarding this theme. Also, we reinforce the notion that efficiency is greater when the creativity and attention are focused, in a more persistent way, in a single subject. The objective of this study was to teach the braille's literacy to a blind child. The chosen methodology was the case study. Educative recurrent materials of the theme were used, like Braillin doll, Braille's dotted board, Perkins braille writer and a custom tool created to aid the development of the child in learning Braille's literacy, made with a board and six Braille's cells. In the future, dedication time and the child's personality should be subject of study.
