A acupuntura arquitectónica digital para a revitalização urbana : o espaço público como matéria

Abstract

Resumo: Este documento pretende estudar o impacto da sociedade informacional no espaço público e como revitalizar a sua relação. Para tal estudaram-se teorias sobre a revolução tecnológica e, o impacto desta na forma como a sociedade vive e experiência a cidade. Ainda, estudaram-se respostas urbanas e arquitetónicas aos problemas levantados, para depois serem testadas no ensaio projetual de um Hub CTC na cidade de Santa Maria da Feira. Para tal recolheu-se e tratou-se qualitativamente a informação recolhida sobre autores como Manuel Castells, Dijck, Lerner, Rem Koolhaas, e ainda de informação produzida pela turma, e de autoria própria. Conclui-se que apesar de claros os danos que o novo paradigma instalou no sistema de espaço público, a recuperação do seu propósito urbano é possível através de intervenções pontuais, com a ajuda da ferramenta desenvolvida por Jaime Lerner, a acupuntura urbana, só que desta vez acupuntura digital.

Abstract: This document pertends to in vestigate the im pact of informational society in public space, and how to revitallize their relationship. In doing so, we study the theories about the technological revolution and the impact that it has in the from of how society lives and experiences the city. Furthermore, we investigate the urban and architectonic solutions for the problems that arise, to later be tested in the project of a Centre for Knowledge, Transporta and Communication (KTC) Hub in the city of Santa Maria da Feira. There was a collection and treatment of qualitative information from authors such as Manuel Castells, Dijck, Lerner, Rem Koolhaas, and information produced from the class and from the self author. It is concluded that besides clear damage taht the new paradigm has installed in the system of public space, the recuperation of its urban being is possible through select interventions, with the help of the tool developed by Jaime Lerner (Urban Accupuncture) just that this time it is digital acupuncture.
