Dar vivência ao interior de quarteirão : quarteirão Mycar em Braga

Abstract

A presente dissertação centra-se no tema “Dar vivência ao interior do quarteirão”,com o intuito de requalificar e transformar o interior destes, em locais mais vivenciados e visitados tornando-os em pontos de passagem marcantes, atribuindo experiências únicas e sublimes ao seu utilizador. Este trabalho, possibilita explorar situações existentes decorrentes da problemática da reabilitação do interior do quarteirão, bem como a problemática do abandono destes como lugar e sítio. A dissertação divide-se em 4 capítulos. O primeiro, trata da motivação, apresenta os objetivos e a metodologia de trabalho. O segundo, remete-nos para a forma da cidade e o aparecimento do quarteirão como o vemos e conhecemos nos dias de hoje, passando pela sua evolução desde a antiguidade, a cidade islâmica, a época medieval, o renascimento, a contemporaneidade, o séc. XXI e a problemática da sustentabilidade. O terceiro capítulo leva-nos a casos similares de referência escolhidos, os quais de certa forma, se cruzam com a proposta de intervenção. Finalmente apresenta-se o quarto capitulo como a resolução da problemática do caso de estudo escolhido.

This dissertation focuses on the theme "Giving life to the inner city block," in order to re-qualify and transform the interior of these, in a more experienced and visited sites, making them crossing points by assigning unique and sublime experiences to their user. This study serves, as an example of, how we can exploit existing problem of rehabilitation of the inner city block, as well as the issues of abandonment of these as place and site. This work is divided into four chapters, the first chapter takes us with the motivation, objectives and working methods; the second chapter takes us to the shape of the city and the appearance of the block as we see and know it these days, passing through several developments, including, antiquity, the Islamic city, medieval times, rebirth, and contemporary finally the 21st century and the issue of sustainability; the third chapter takes us to similar case studies, chosen, which somehow intersect with the proposed intervention and finally the fourth chapter as settlement before the resolution of the problems of the chosen case study.
