Reconfigurações urbanas : através de uma estratégia recombinante

Abstract

Face à crescente efervescência e metamorfose das cidades contemporâneas, o tecido urbano atual enfrenta hoje um contexto tecnológico que veio transformar os valores posicionais do espaço. Perante a desadequação das combinações funcionais originais dos territórios à contemporaneidade, inicia-se o estudo da problemática a partir da análise da relevância dos variados atores que compõem o palco ativo da vida urbana, identificando um trinómio: recentes necessidades dos atores urbanos – tecnologias da informação e da comunicação (TIC) – cidade contemporânea. Entendendo que todos os pontos de análise encerram tensões e questões indissolúveis entre si, reconheceu-se como pertinente explorar uma nova configuração instrumental do domínio da Arquitetura que venha responder aos desafios colocados pela emergência das novas tecnologias, importando assim o conceito da Recombinação Genética para a área de conhecimento da Arquitetura. A noção de uma arquitetura recombinante tem como objetivo compreender um mecanismo que, mesmo oriundo de outro saber que não o da arquitetura, se tratado nesta área de conhecimento, pode transformar-se num contributo à sua inovação e habilitação na formação de novas ferramentas. Reconfigurar o espaço urbano através de uma estratégia recombinante exige um reposicionamento do pensamento estratégico do arquiteto, sobretudo no que concerne à leitura, gestão e desenho do solo urbanizado. Investiga-se uma abordagem sistémica e estratégica que habilite o território com ferramentas que o tornem capaz de, continuamente, se adaptar ao contexto evolutivo e multipertencente; e propõe-se a construção de um novo olhar sobre o domínio estratégico do exercício conceptual da Arquitetura.

Faced with the increasing effervescence and metamorphosis of contemporary cities, the current urban space faces today a technological context that has transformed the positional values of space. Given the inadequacy of the original functional combinations of the contemporary territories, we begin the study of the problem through the analysis of the relevance of the various actors in the active stage of urban life, identifying a trinomial: recent needs of urban actors - information and communication technologies (ICT) - contemporary city. Understanding that all points of analysis contain tensions and inter-related issues among themselves, we recognized as relevant to explore a new field of instrumental configuration for architecture that expects to meet the challenges posed by the emergence of new technologies, by importing the concept of Genetic Recombination for the knowledge area of Architecture. The notion of recombinant architecture aims at understanding a mechanism that, even come from other knowledge area that not architecture, when addressed in this area of knowledge can become a contribution to innovation and enable the formation of new tools. Reconfigure urban space through a recombinant strategy requires a repositioning of the strategic thinking of the architect, especially with regard to reading, management and design of the urban space. We investigate a systemic and strategic approach, one that may enable the territory with tools that make it able to continually adapt to the evolving context; and proposes the construction of a new look at the strategic field of conceptual exercise of Architecture.
