Cibercrime e segurança cibernética

Abstract

O tema escolhido é considerado útil no âmbito científico. Importa avaliar o tema do cibercrime e da segurança cibernética, sob diferentes abordagens e enquadrar argumentos relevantes sobre como melhorar a lei e a regulação do sistema vigente. Em primeiro lugar, porque o aumento das ameaças cibernéticas tem sido uma constante, também pelo acesso disseminado à Internet. A dependência cresce no mundo digital, à medida que indivíduos, instituições públicas e organizações da sociedade civil, são mais vulneráveis a ataques cibernéticos, sobretudo em ambientes wireless, ou seja, de Internet sem fios (Kadam e Gomes, 2023). O que dificulta a segurança e eleva a necessidade de proteger informações privadas e dados públicos. Em segundo lugar, as ameaças cibernéticas têm grande impacto económico-financeiro. Algumas empresas sofrem perdas significativas quando atingidas por ataques informáticos. O custo financeiro da violação de dados pode ser elevado, sobretudo quando se pretende recuperar conteúdos. Em terceiro lugar, o impacto social e político não é de descurar. Um ataque cibernético de grande envergadura pode afetar a confiança nas instituições, a estabilidade social ou até política, sobretudo, se ajudar a propagar notícias falsas. O objeto do estudo é analisar evidências científicas sobre o crime cibernético, em termos conceptuais e a nível legislativo. Importa identificar os riscos associados à utilização da Internet. Em quarto lugar, o desenvolvimento de uma verdadeira cultura de Cibersegurança é uma forma positiva de conscientizar os utilizadores sobre os riscos e ameaças à segurança e tornar os participantes como parte da prevenção de ataques cibernéticos. Os resultados deste estudo podem contribuir para a criação de uma cultura de aprendizagem com base nas melhores práticas de conscientização de segurança utilizadas para prevenir os ataques cibernéticos.

It is important to consider the phenomena of cybercrime and cyber security and the various existing approaches. Then frame the development of relevant arguments on how to improve the law and regulation of the current system. Firstly, because the increase in cyber threats has been constant, facilitated by widespread access to the Internet. Dependence grows in the digital world and makes people and organizations more vulnerable to cyber-attacks. This makes security difficult and increases the need to protect private information and public data. Secondly, the economic and financial impact stands out. Some companies suffer significant losses when hit by computer attacks. The financial cost of a data breach can be high, especially when you want to recover content. Thirdly, the social and political impact is not to be overlooked. A large-scale cyber-attack can affect trust in institutions, social or even political stability, especially if it helps to spread fake news. The object of study is the analysis of scientific evidence on cybercrime, whether in conceptual terms or at the legislative level. It is important to identify the risks associated with using the Internet. Fourthly, the development of a true cybersecurity culture is a positive way of raising awareness among users about security risks and threats and making participants’ part of the prevention of cyber-attacks. The results of this study can contribute to the creation of a learning culture based on the best security awareness practices used to prevent cyber-attacks.
