El matrimonio clandestino en la baja Edad Media española : la lucha por su regulación restrictiva

Abstract

Durante la Baja Edad Media proliferó el matrimonio clandestino entendiendo por tal al matrimonio celebrado sin ningún tipo de solemnidad. A lo largo de estas líneas se tratará de reflexionar sobre esta temática, que ha sido analizada por grandes historiadores del Derecho en excelsos estudios. En base a ello, se hará un especial hincapié en resaltar los mecanismos jurídicos que se implementaron para poner fin a su existencia.

During the Late Middle Ages, clandestine marriages proliferated, understood as marriages celebrated without any formality. This article will reflect on this topic, which has been analysed by great legal historians in outstanding studies. Based on this, special emphasis will be placed on highlighting the legal mechanisms that were implemented to put an end to their existence.
