This article aims to bring to the field of investigation the issue of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Iag) applied to the Education sector, especially with regard to public schools. The method applied underwent a bibliographical review, application of the deductive method and, also, participatory observation. The article argues that most predictors of school failure can be minimized through IAg instruments. In reality, AIg, by allowing the personalization of teaching, adapting it to the characteristics of each student, and also giving them constant feedback on their progress, will predictably bring the indispensable motivation. The work begins by problematizing the situation, in which IAg came to bring several tools and which, if applied, will represent a disruption in the entire educational process that is important to investigate a priori. The introduction of IAg in schools will imply the prior need to place the student at the center of the pedagogical process, working on their critical thinking, ensuring the human nature of education and also equity and inclusion for all. It is concluded that the introduction of AIg in education is inevitable, which is why it is necessary for public policies to prepare this transition in a timely manner. However, nothing will replace the human and humanistic character that education must have — and in which the role of the teacher continues to be irreplaceable — and, on the other hand, it will need several prerequisites that we try to foresee. |
