A reminiscência dos territórios rurais na cidade contemporânea : revitalização da Quinta da Alegria na paisagem do Areinho

Abstract

A paisagem sempre desempenhou um papel crucial para o desenho e o funcionamento do território, assim, é necessário termos a consciência que qualquer intervenção na paisagem, poderá afetar profundamente o desenvolvimento sociocultural do território. No âmbito geral, a investigação baseou-se em responder à principal questão: “Como intervir num vazio urbano de interesse paisagístico patrimonial”? Para tal questão, as principais dificuldades foram de criar uma abordagem, desde o campo teórico até à intervenção. Conforme apresentado na introdução (referente aos autores), a abordagem consiste sobretudo na compreensão do território, e como parte da construção deste conhecimento teórico, adotar uma estratégia de intervenção. A abordagem será enriquecida com três exemplos de referência, sobretudo para entender as possibilidades de princípios de intervenção no vazio, as bibliografias apresentadas, foram importantes na construção do conhecimento conceptual acerca do tema, e através de diversas visitas de estudo no nosso objeto, conseguimos ter uma melhor noção do que é necessário no ponto de vista teórico e pratico para a nossa intervenção. Os principais resultados deste processo, é melhorar a forma que observamos o território, onde verificou-se que os valores dos objetos são importantes para preservação do mesmo, mas também para a paisagem no seu todo. Por fim, foi apresentado uma proposta de intervenção para a Quinta da Alegria, que se baseou na revitalização do vazio urbano, e na (re)construção dos edifícios, devolvendo-lhes as suas autenticidades. A intervenção também consistiu no desenvolvimento de um itinerário cultural, com objetivo de preservar a Quinta, e outros pontos de interesse paisagístico patrimonial (ribeirinho). Para concluir, conservar o património paisagístico significa (re)conhecer à importância que o mesmo desempenha para o desenvolvimento da cidade, desde o nível sociocultural até ao socioeconómico. É importante referir que os princípios estudados, condicionam na sua intervenção os valores encontrados, sendo importante para preservação e continuidade do património paisagístico.

The landscape has always played a crucial role for the design and functioning of the territory, so it is necessary to be aware that any intervention in the landscape can profoundly affect the socio-cultural development of the territory. In general, the research was based on answering the main question: "How to intervene in an urban void of patrimonial landscape interest"? For this question, the mains difficulties were to create an approach, from the theoretical field to the intervention. As presented in the introduction (referring to the authors), the approach consists mainly in the understanding of the territory, and as part of the construction of this theoretical knowledge, adopt an intervention strategy. The approach will be enriched with three examples of reference, especially to understand the possibilities of principles of intervention in the void, the literature presented, were important in the construction of conceptual knowledge about the subject, and through several study visits in our object, we were able to have a better sense of what is necessary in the theoretical and practical point of view for our intervention. The main result of this process is to improve the way we observe the territory, where it was found that the values of the objects are important for its preservation, but also for the landscape. Finally, an intervention proposal was presented for Quinta da Alegria, which was based on the revitalization of the urban void, and on the (re)construction of the buildings, returning their autenticities. The intervention also consisted in the development of a cultural itinerary, with the aim of preserving the Quinta, and other points of heritage landscape interest (ribeirinha). To conclude, conserving the landscape heritage means (re)knowing the importance that it plays for the development of the city, from the socio-cultural level to the socio-economic. It is important to note that the principles studied, condition in their intervention the values found, being important for preservation and continuity of landscape heritage.
