A importância da liderança intermédia no teatro de operações no Afeganistão

Abstract

As operações militares desenvolvem-se hoje em ambientes operacionais caracterizados pela incerteza, ambiente semelhante aos das organizações, salvaguardadas as devidas diferenças. A incerteza exerce influência em líderes e seguidores. A liderança nos mais baixos escalões da estrutura assume importância vital, traduzida no apoio conferido e no desempenho evidenciado. Poucas vezes os mais baixos escalões da estrutura percecionam a dimensão do seu contributo para os objetivos globais, sendo que a satisfação é tanto maior quanto maior a perceção da importância da missão e da existência de uma liderança eficaz e de qualidade. Este artigo desenvolve-se nas forças nacionais destacadas do Centro de Tropas Comandos no teatro de operações do Afeganistão, foi desenvolvido através de dez entrevistas e de 61 inquéritos, e permitiu concluir que, o exercício da liderança eficaz e de qualidade pelos líderes intermédios,reduz e minimiza os efeitos da incerteza na ação de liderança, contribuindo para maior satisfação.

The current military operations are developed in operational environments characterized by uncertainty, similar to the environment of organizations, notwithstanding their differences. The uncertainty influences into leaders and followers. The leadership in the lower echelons of the structure is of vital importance, reflected in the support given and the performance shown. Rarely has the lowest echelons of the structure perceive the dimension of its contribution to the overall objectives, and the satisfaction is greater the greater the perception of the importance of the mission and the existence of a effective leadership and quality. This article has supported its development in national forces deployed Troops Command Center in the Afghanistan theatre of operations, was developed through ten interviews and 61 surveys, and concluded that the exercise of effective leadership and quality leaders intermediate reduces and minimizes the effects of uncertainty in leadership action, contributing to greater satisfaction.
