A arquitectura do vinho, na cultura Melgacense

Abstract

Nesta dissertação pretende-se estudar a arquitectura do vinho como elemento regenerador da vila de Melgaço, tendo em conta a capacidade cultural que esta vertente da arquitectura abrange e os conteúdos programáticos que nos últimos anos têm vindo a conquistar neste território tradicional. Surge então o interesse de criação de uma linha de análise comparativa, com base em quatro categorias arquitectónicas concretas: contexto, função, composição e construção, que permitem compreender a importância e as vertentes metodológicas, construtivas e funcionais deste tipo específico de arquitectura no mundo. Com base nestas vertentes, busca-se dar resposta ao presente momento estratégico de fomentação do turismo, verificado no concelho e proporcionar um incentivo à modernização da arquitectura vinícola desta região. Deste modo, centrando esta investigação na cultura literária existente, surge uma linha de pensamento que tem como objectivo centrar este trabalho teórico em três pontos essenciais, que facilitam a compreensão desta temática: 1. A vinha como elemento de caracterização territorial, onde se busca a compreensão do território de Melgaço, e a importância que a vinha detêm nesta tão tradicional morfologia. 2. 0 estudo da arquitectura do vinho ao longo da história, com o fim de compreender o surgimento dos espaços destinados à produção vinícola e de que forma os mesmos influenciaram a actualidade. 3. Com base no ponto anterior e seguindo a linha de análise acima mencionada, procura-se compreender a realidade actual da arquitectura vinícola mundial, buscando nesta respostas para o futuro promissor da região de Melgaço.

This dissertation aims to study the architecture of wine as an important part of the Melgaço regenaration process, taking into account the cultural capacity that this aspect of architecture as conquer in this traditional territory in the last years. Then comes the interest of creating a Une of comparativo analysis, based on four concrete architoctural categories: context, function, composition and construction that allow us to understand the importance o methodological aspects, constructive and function tourism growth, found in the county and provido an incentive to modernize the architecture of this wine region. This research as is foundations on the existing literary culture, with a line of thought that aims to focus this theoretical work on three essential points that support the understanding of this issue: 1. The vineyard as an element of territorial characterization, which helps to understand the territory of Melgaço, and the importance in this traditional morphology. 2. The study of the architecture of wine throughout history in order to understand the emergence of spaces for wine production and how they influenced the actuallity. 3. Based on the previous point and following the une above analysis, we seek to understand the current reality of world wine architecture, seeking answers to the futuro in this promising region of Melgaço.
