Arquitectura do vinho : transformação e armazenamento : enoturismo

Abstract

A seguinte dissertação debruça-se sobre a Arquitectura do Vinho e o que a ele se encontra inerente, como a sua produção e o turismo crescente, Enoturismo, de forma a potencializar e colmatar algumas deficiências presentes no Concelho de Melgaço, região com forte presença da Cultura do Vinho, não fosse uma região demarcada do vinho Verde Casta Alvarinho. Embora Melgaço apresente uma Rota do Vinho Alvarinho, certo é que a mesma apresenta lacunas, transversais a uma actividade vinícola em transformação e em crescente ramificação. Neste sentido verifica-se que a Actividade, e a Arquitectura vitivinícola, não respondem às novas premissas, existentes actualmente na transformação, armazenamento e promoção do vinho através do Enoturismo, Isto porque hoje uma garrafa de vinho é apenas o culminar de um todo, onde o culto do vinho se tem enraizado, no sentido de uma maior projecção e afirmação de mercado, como ainda das suas raízes culturais, o lugar, a região de origem. Com o novo panorama da cultura do vinho, a abordagem passou por conhecer a cultura de Melgaço, em especial a actividade vinícola e tudo o que lhe é inerente. A primeira análise recaiu sobre as adegas pertencentes à Rota do Vinho Alvarinho de Melgaço, percebendo as suas lacunas e os seus pontos favoráveis. A análise sobre as adegas na história, passou por percebendo as suas origens e acompanhar a sua evolução ate à modernidade. Por fim, perceber a importância do enoturismo no actual panorama vitivinícola, sendo necessário analisar algumas adegas que contemplam um novo programa da cultura do vinho e da arquitectura de transformação e armazenamento. O processo de investigação e análise permitiu balizar a intervenção não só referente ao caso de estudo, Quinta do Soalheiro, como delimitar o programa e sua articulação, a própria implantação no local, considerando a relação com a vinha e o existente, e não menos importante, a sua própria materialização, sob o ponto de vista da sua estrutura, e consequentemente a sua imagem. Para este processo foi igualmente importante não só perceber as preocupações e consequente evolução das adegas na história, como entender a arquitectura do vinho na contemporaneidade, constatando os momentos de evolução do passado, e melhor discernir o que actualmente é a arquitectura do vinho. Em suma o caso de estudo contempla os principais pontos analisados ao longo da investigação. Pontos como a transformação, armazenamento, venda e promoção do vinho, Enoturismo. No entanto ao olharmos para as adegas locais, percebemos que estes mesmos pontos são também eles sugestivos param as adegas pertencentes à Rota do Vinho Alvarinho de Melgaço, no sentido que estas se encontram aquém do actual panorama da cultura vitivinícola.

The current thesis focuses on the wine and aH its inherent subjects such as the production and growing tourism around it. The study of Melgaço council, strongly marked by the presence of wine culture and aiso by being a delineated region of Alvarinho green wine, wiii aiiow to identify some of the issues on the council and therefore achieve ways to overcome them and maximize the key potentialities, As a sampie of lhe Alvarinho Wine route, Meigaço presents some gaps aiong lhe wine activity associated with a changing culture in development. In that way is possibie to see that wine activity and also the architeclure of wine doesnt respond to the new principies currently availabie for processing, storage and saie of wine through the wine tourism. Nowadays the concept of a bottle of wine is not 50 simpie. Instead it means the climax of the whole production process, it is the symbol of a place or region strongly marked by the wine cuiture and seeking to achieve recognition in the markel. With the new panorama of wine culture the approach came to know the cuiture of Melgaço, especiaHy the wine business and everything that is inherent. The first anaiysis befeli the wineries beionging lo the Alvarinho Wine Route, reahzing its shortcomings and its favorable characteristics.The anaiysis of the wineries in history aflowed to understand their origins and foflow its evoiution lo modernity. Finafly reahze the importance of wine tourism in the current wine scene, being necessary lo anaiyze some wineries that inciude a new program of wine cuiture and the processing and storage architecture. The research and anaiysis process aflowed to define Quinta do Soalheiro intervention and also define the program and its articulation. The onsite depioymenl taking into account the reiationship between vine and the existing siluation and also the materiahzation under its poinl of view of their struclure and its image. For this process was also important to undersland the concerns and consequent evoiution of the wineries in history and aiso the contemporary wine architecture, taking mio account lhe evoiution of the moments of the past and better discern what is currentiy lhe architecture of wine. In brief, the case of study inciudes lhe main points discussed throughout the investigation such as processing, storage, saie and promotion of wine. i-lowever when we iook at local wineries we realize that these same points are siso suggestive for wineries beionging lo the Aivarinho Wine Roule in the sarne way that they are behind the currenl situalion of the wine cuiture.
