Valorização do património como indutor de desenvolvimento : património mineiro da Aldeia da Borralha

Abstract

Num período de constantes mutações, de novas procuras, na busca pela singularidade, o património abre portas a novas possibilidades. Este trabalho acompanha a evolução e transformação do património, incidindo, sobretudo, num dos últimos patrimónios declarados, o Património Mineiro. Busca o Passado da actividade extractiva em Portugal, os momentos mais importantes da actividade ao longo da história que corresponderam a momentos de evolução geográfica e política. Encontra o Presente de diversidade patrimonial e de conservação exaustiva de diferentes espaços, na busca pela sustentabilidade das envolventes que integram este património, áreas ambientalmente sensíveis. Analisa distintos casos de estudo que incidem em diferentes formas de conhecimento, preservação e valorização do Património Mineiro, ao nível nacional e internacional, com diferentes escalas e destinatários. Reflecte o Futuro do Complexo Mineiro da Aldeia da Borralha, analisando antecedentes de sucesso, realidades de negligência e a posterior valorização na área da investigação, do turismo cultural e de lazer. Tirando partido dos resquícios da actividade, da paisagem que envolve as construções e estruturas abandonadas, um território abrangente, com desenvolvimento de relações únicas entre o subsolo e a superfície, entre o minério, o homem e a sociedade. Um património material e imaterial que é premente revitalizar, pensando formas de fruição.

In a period of constant mutation, of novel seeking, in the search of singularity, patrimony opens to new and outstanding possibilities. This project accompanies evolution and transformation of the patrimony, focusing mainly in one of the last declared patrimonies, the Mining Heritage. Porsuing the Past of mining activity in Portugal, the most remarking moments of this activity overlap with geographic and political evolution moments. Meeting the Present of patrimonial diversity and exhaustive conservation of different spaces, in seek of sustainability of the surroundings of this patrimony areas that are environmental sensitive. It analyses several case studies, tha incide in different ways of knowledge preservation and recovery of the Mining Heritage both at national and international level, within different scales and recipients. It reflects the Future, from the Mining Complex of Aldeia da Borralha, analyzing antecedent of success, realities of negligency and posterity of valorization in the research areas, from cultural tourism to leisure. Taking advantage of the activity remnants, the landscape that surround construction and abandoned structures, a in-depth territory, with the development of unique relationship between subsoil and surface, between mineral, men and the society. A tangible and intangible patrimony that is urgently revitalize, thinking forms of enjoyment.
