A estrutura urbana na cidade consolidada e a reestruturação do vazio urbano : o caso de Nevogilde

Abstract

Neste documento abordamos a implementação de uma nova malha urbana na cidade consolidada como forma de reestruturar o vazio urbano e recuperar o seu carácter esquecido. É com o apoio a análise das obras de outros autores, que procuramos esclarecer o que se entende por consolidação e reestruturação das cidades e dos seus vazios urbanos. Temos como objectivo fundamental perceber estes espaços negligenciados que provocam uma rotura do tecido urbano mas que podem ser vistos como regeneadores urbanos ou novas oportunidades para a cidade. Procuramos estudar a cidade e asua forma de assentamento no território, e o surgimento de novas centralidades ou novas malhas urbanas tiveram um papel vital na morfologia da cidade do Porto tal como a conhecemos hoje. Analisamos como esta cidade se foi expandido e evoluindo ao longo do tempo, de como cresceu e se foi alterando na sua escala e imgem, mas principalmente de quais foram as consequências urbanas que nos levam a ser confrontados com este tema na actualidade. Para dar um resposta a este vazio urbano, apresentamos uma estratégia de reestruturação que deve ser entendida como um caminho a seguir e não uma imposição ou modelo definitivo. Esta proposta surge no âmbito da unidade curricular de Projecto III do 5º ano do curso de arquitectura. Procuramos assim, dar continuidade a toda a malha urbana, estabelecendo novos bairros, mais facilidade e mobilidade e também uma maior capacidade de relação com o resto da cidade. Permite-se então um maior sentimento de inclusão social, uma melhor qualidade de vida, e dar relevância aos transportes públicos e percursos pedonais dando acesso a outros pontos da cidade.

In this document we discuss the implementation of a new urban area in the consolidated city as a way to restructure the urban void and recover your forgotten character. It is with the support and analysis of the works of other authors, we seek to clarify what is meant by consolidation and restructuring of cities and their urban voids. We aim to realize these fundamental neglected spaces that cause a rupture of the urban fabric but can be seen as urban regenerator or new opportunities for the city. Tried to study the city and its form of settlement in the territory especially at the beginning of the nineteenth century to the present, and see how the emergence of new centers and new urban networks played a vital role in the morphology of Porto as we know it today. We see how this city has been expanding and evolving over time, how it was grown and changing its scale and image, but mostly what the consequences were urban that lead us to be confronted at present to give an answer to this issue, we present a restructuring strategy that should be understood as a way forward and not an imposition or definitive model, but nevertheless relies on concepts and ideas already used in some cases to prove succeed in restructuring the urban fabric. This project developed in the 5th year of the architecture course project III seeks darning the city with a new urban fabric, reestablishing the character vacant the urban void and giving a new continuity to the urban fabric, thus establishing new neighborhoods, more ease of mobility but also greater capacity compared with the rest of the city that allow a greater sense of social inclusion and a better quality of life not only to the inhabitants of this new urban area but to all people, because we give importance to transport and public footpaths that allow access to gardens and parks in other parts of the city.
