A luz natural indireta na arquitetura : caso do lar de idosos Canidelo

Abstract

“A Luz Natural na Arquitetura – O Caso do Lar de Idosos do Canidelo”, foi o título a que se chegou, depois de ponderados os propósitos da escolha e do estudo desenvolvido. A presente dissertação nasce de diversos fatores: O fascínio pela luz na arquitetura e a forma como esta se molda face à necessidade da luz; A consciência da forma como novos materiais e tecnologias permitem abordar a arquitetura de uma forma mais sustentável; A sensibilidade ao tema da evolução do envelhecimento demográfico a nível nacional. É desta forma que esta diversidade temática se conjuga na investigação que conduziu à presente dissertação. Um Lar de Idosos num local necessitado do mesmo é argumento em questão nesta dissertação. Em paralelo desenvolve-se um estudo sobre a luz, sua influência na arquitetura, através dos tempos e como se pode conjugar, no início do séc. XXI, luz natural indireta e arquitetura. Chega-se assim ao presente trabalho em que duas vias – A Luz Natural e a Terceira Idade – atingem um ponto de confluência: O Lar de Idosos do Canidelo. Esboça-se um projeto de Lar de Idosos com elevado grau de sustentabilidade em que, mediante recurso de soluções inovadoras, se tira partido do uso e luz natural numa área do edifício superior ao habitual. Obtém-se assim um maior ganho económico no campo energético, ao mesmo tempo que se conseguem melhores níveis de conforto visual e psicológico dos utentes.

“The Natural Light in Architecture - The Case of the Nursing Home at Canidelo" was the title reached after weighing the purposes of the choice and the study developed. This study developed from different aspects: The author’s fascination by light in architecture and how it is shaped due to the need of the same light; Awareness of how new materials and technologies allow to address the architecture of a more sustainable way; The sensability to the approach of the issue of evolution of aging at the national level; This factors, altogether joined in this research leading to this investigation and, therefore, to the present dissertation. A Home for the Elderly in place in need of it is an argument in question in this dissertation. In parallel develops a study of light, its influence on architecture through the ages and how they can combine, at the beginning of the 21st century, indirect natural light and architecture. Enough is thus to present work in which two pathways - Natural Light and the Third Age - reach a point of confluence: The Nursing Home of Canidelo. Delineated a project of Sheltered Housing with a high degree of sustainability in which, through the use of innovative solutions, it takes advantage of natural light and in a building area higher than usual. There is thus obtained a greater economic gain in the energy field at the same time it can better levels of psychological and visual comfort of the users
