Under the title “corporate arbitration in the Angolan legal system,” this work aims to analyze the question of whether or not arbitration in Angola is an appropriate means for resolving intra-corporate disputes. Therefore, a brief comparative analysis was carried out with other legal systems, namely Portuguese, German, Italian, Spanish and Brazilian. On the other hand, despite the clear advantages that arbitration in general presents, and given the absence of a legal regime that makes it possible in a practical and clear way to submit intra-corporate disputes to arbitration, the doctrine raises some relevant questions, about this legal absence, that it is important to respond so that arbitration becomes an effective means of resolving these disputes. Thus, in this dissertation, we seek to analyze the arbitration agreement, and the susceptibility of partners to be bound by the arbitration clause, examining the potential contingencies associated with dissenting or future partners, as well as the deliberative majority required to approve the implementation of the arbitration clauses in the social statutes and their effectiveness. Finally, we will analyze the constitution, competence, and composition of the arbitration court as well as the notion, nature, and effects of the arbitration award.
